Scaring the right people out of making the wrong decisions

“I give this speech to many high school classes before Prom. Prom scares the heck out of me. Every year we lose a child to a prom night automobile crash. I have never lost a child who heard this speech before prom. it is like an inoculation against bad driving decisions, even if for a short-lived time.”

Brian Labovick — Speaker Biography

Brian LaBovick is a highly sought-after speaker with more than two decades of experience educating and entertaining audiences on the fundamentals of personal injury law. As a natural storyteller, Brian knows how to entertain and engage an audience. He is a passionate advocate for his clients and is always ready to go to protect the people in his community.

“I will hunt down the person who harmed my client and I will drive that tortfeasor into bankruptcy but not before I take every bit of property they own, sell it at auction, and pay it to my injured client.”

Fear your Teenage Driver

Driving is a wonder key to adulthood. Teenage children are given the right to drive on our roads so long as they learn they are actually using a dangerous weapon. Making sure young drivers have the proper respect for driving a car is extremely important. Parents and teachers feel the pressure to impart to these young drivers that they are endangering their own life and the lives of those around them when they drive. Unfortunately, it is not easy to impact these young citizens in a way that penetrates their hormone-fueled developing egos and superman complexes. Far too many of them start driving with the belief that they are “good” drivers even though they have minimal training or experience. They simply can’t fathom that something bad will happen to them in a car. That bad “stuff” only happens to “the other guy.” That is where Brian LaBovick has been able to make the most impact. His Save Fluffy Speech is engaging, entertaining, authoritative, and frightening. If there is a way to get through the thick heads of our young drivers and scare them straight, Brian has found the way to do that job. Plus if your parents need to learn how to protect themselves and their children from financial ruin when a young driver does make the mistake, he can speak on those topics as well.

Organizational Health

After leaving his post as at the United States Department of Justice in 1991 Brian LaBovick opened up Brian F. LaBovick, PA.  By 1993 he needed help.  He asked his wife, Esther LaBovick, a former Assistant State Attorney  with Janet Reno and a National Fraud attorney for the National Council on Compensation Insurance to join the firm.

From 1991 to 2009 the firm grew rapidly from a solo entity into a powerhouse 8 lawyer firm handling only personal injury.  Then, without warning the firm hit a wall.  They business stopped growing. For 5 years Brian searched for solutions on how to turn his law firm growth back on.  Why had his high flying growth firm simply stopped making forward progress.  After reading countless business books he finally put the pieces together and applied the lessons he learned over a multiyear journey into how businesses break through their own barriers to his own practice.  From that point forward the practice took off again. Starting at $2.5 million dollars they jumped quickly to a $5 million firm, and then to a $10 million firm.  Now they are estimating growth to $25 million by 2025 and $125 million by 2030.

What caused the change? Brian is sure it was the concept of Organization Health. This concept, as set out in multiple books by Patrick Lencioni, Vern Harnish, Gino Wickman, Alex Osterwalder, Simon Sinek, Cameron Herold, and Michael Mogill just to name a few, allowed Brian to apply their combined wisdom and turn his business around.

One of the hardest parts of the journey was finding the right mentors to answer the questions that come up along the journey.  It is almost impossible to apply esoteric methods of running human relationships and hard data business systems, without having the ability to talk out the unique problems and nuances that occur in every growing a business.  That is why Brian created an easy-to-follow system called the 5 Golden Steps to Law Firm management based on his combining the knowledge of a variety of business gurus.
